NUOVO Education (NUOVO Scholen) is a leading school group, consisting of 14 highschools in and around Utrecht. NUOVO’s mission is to develop talent with education that brings students more than just their diploma’s. It’s about preparing them for life.

A new design system and brand to merge two school groups.

Our brief

After a merger with the Schoonoord School Group, NUOVO Education redefined their brand strategy and values, which had to be implemented in a new brand architecture and brand identity for the school. This needed to strengthen the the central school group’s brand positioning, while including and connecting the relationship with the 14 individual schools.

The answer

We started with brand research in which we mapped all the brand styles and (brand) relationships in the group. After designing a clear brand hierarchy for the school group, we developed a brand system based on endorsement from a round table concept. This round table concept is used to create a new corporate school brand identity and communication with guidelines and training.

In close collaboration with our brand team and the NUOVO board, we created a unique visual design concept and system all stakeholders could embrace.
